Dancing in the Rain - Surviving Breast Cancer and Learning to Embrace Life
Thanks for visiting!
I hope you can find everything you need. Dancing in the Rain is focused on providing a place for breast cancer survivors to connect with each other and share their experiences. I also welcome friends or relatives of cancer patients.  Sometimes when a loved one is sick we don't know how to act or what to say.  I want this to be a place for comfort and understanding.

I was diagnosed with HER2+ invasive breast cancer in my right breast in October 2008.  After neoadjuvant chemotherapy I had a unilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using tissue from my latissimus dorsi and a small implant. I had 28 radiation treatments and a year of the drug Herceptin.
I wrote Dancing in the Rain about my experience and the experiences of four women I met at a Zumba fundraiser for Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Pittsburgh. It is available for sale on Amazon.com.

I look forward to sharing tips on nutrition and exercise for cancer patients and survivors.  I also want this to be a place where we can discuss our fears about a
re-occurrence and our struggles to maintain a normal family life during and after treatment.

I hope to see you again! Check back later for new updates to my website. There's much more to come!
