My name is Fran Joyce, I write as Frances G. Joyce.  I live in Upper St. Clair , Pennsylvania and I am a breast cancer survivor.  I published my first book, Dancing in the Rain: Surviving Breast Cancer and Learning to Embrace Life on September 2, 2011. It is available on Amazon.com and will be available on the Kindle by mid-October 2011.

Here is a picture of me with Susan Veitch (left) who is one of the survivors in my book.  We were in downtown Pittsburgh for the second annual "Groove for the Cure-Party in Pink" charity event to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Pittsburgh.

I am serious about writing and I am even more serious about giving back to the breast cancer community. 10% of the profits from my book will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Pittsburgh.

I also hope to write a column on breast cancer survivors for a fitness magazine, in particular I am interested in writing about women who take or teach Zumba.  I took Zumba before my diagnosis and continued to go to classes twice a week throughout my treatments.  It helped me feel normal, and I have met many other women with similar stories.
